POPPIES AFTER HOURS
The idea of creating a Social Club built around fine food and beverage is something we've been tossing around for quite a while. Last year, we had a very full schedule to see the type of events our guests wanted. This year, we've paried them down to what we hope will be about 2 per month.
Thursday night, March 25th at 7:30. Join us and Blue Water Seafood for a Seafood Wine dinner. Cost is $55 per person, inclusive of tips
and tax (without wine - $40) We encourage you to invite some of your friends to
join us with no membership fees this year. We need a minimum of 25 guests to
have the dinner. See below for menu details. The wine dinners will be served
at your choice of a family table or a table for 4 in our cafe area.

Chef Cody Stokes from Blue Water (and former Poppies Executive Chef!) has
created a wonderful menu that celebrates the passing of winter.
Appetizer
Assorted cheeses and olives served with a unique Spanish wine called
Blanc Pescador that is crisp and slightly bubbly.
Second Course
Steamed clams, mussels, calamari in an herb-infused broth. This will be
served with a delightful Sonoma Sauvignon Blanc from Sean Minor that has
great acidity and fruit.
Third Course
Crab stuffed Jumbo Shrimp with a Blood Orange Buerre Blanc sauce served
along side a salad of spring greens.
Des Vigerons from Saumur is a classic
French Chenin Blanc perfect with seafood.
Fourth Course
Grilled barbeque Salmon and polenta fries. To compliment the richness of the
salmon, Erath, an Oregon Pinot Noir, will be poured.
Dessert
Chocolate Hazelnut Lava cake finishes the meal. To cleanse the palate
between bites, we will enjoy a Black Mocha Stout from Highland Brewing
